The home featured in Mrs. Doubtfire, a 1993 comedy starring late actor Robin Williams, is now on the market for $4.45 million, according to an article by Lisa Kaplan Gordon for realtor.com.
The home is 3,300 square feet, and is located on Steiner Street in San Francisco. It was featured in the film Mrs. Doubtfire, where Williams impersonated a British nanny in order to spend more time with his children.
From the article:
The Pacific Heights home, built in 1893, is near San Francisco’s famed Gold Coast and sits on a wide corner lot. It has four bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and formal living and dining rooms. The interior features hardwood floors, intricate millwork, and window-lined turrets. The white kitchen boasts a large island, subway tile backsplashes, and access to a garden patio.
The property’s owner, Douglas Ousterhout, is a doctor in facial feminization surgery for transgender patients, according to the article. He bought the home in 1997 for $1.4 million.

While Mrs. Doubtfire’s home is just beginning its time on the market, the dispute over Williams’ estate is just ending. Yesterday, an article by Michael Miller for People shows that the late actor’s wife agreed to drop her petition.
She will now keep only a few of his items with sentimental value as the rest will be moved out to Williams’ children.
We can only hope that the selling process of the Mrs. Doubtfire home is a better experience.
