‘Drug-induced orgy’ destroys family’s Airbnb rental home

Disturbing video of damage

One couple is still processing probably of the worst-case scenarios to have ever happened after renting their home out on Airbnb to four people who used the house for a massively destructive orgy.  Per Mashable:

Mark and Star King had rented out their home in Sage Hill, Calgary in Canada to a party of four through Airbnb. The Kings were led to believe that the group was in town for a wedding, and the quartet was supposed to stay Sunday to Tuesday.

In reality, the article said the Kings received word from their neighbors that there had apparently been a party bus at one point with more than 100 people at their home.

“The police were here before we got here,” Mark told CTV Calgary “They had been here seven times, with no cooperation from the people that were in here that had had a party for two nights and all day in between.”

Airbnb spokesman Jakob Kerr responded to the debacle in a statement:

“We have zero tolerance for this kind of behavior and our team is working quickly to make this right. We have banned this guest from Airbnb, and our Trust and Safety team will offer its full assistance to law enforcement in any investigation of this incident. We have been in very close contact with these hosts and we are working quickly to reimburse them under our $1 Million Host Guarantee, which covers a host’s property in the rare event of damages. Over 35 million guests have stayed on Airbnb, and property damage is extremely rare.”

Here’s the shocking video of the damage.
