loanDepot hires new tech team

11 employees join lender

loanDepot’s latest move in the industry is the addition of its #FinTech team to help increase the lender’s online customer experience.

And, they made the announcement on their blog, which is a very tech way to make announcements.

On the post, they say loanDepot recruited a team of 10 software engineers, led by industry veteran Tony Jenkins. Jenkins joins loanDepot as senior vice president of Software Engineering.

Prior to joining loanDepot, the team worked at a startup marketplace lending company building a loan origination solution.

Additionally, Michael Wilson joins loanDepot from Ball Aerospace, where he served as chief information officer/director of IT Strategy.

In his role, Wilson led classified and unclassified IT strategy, including the design, implementation and support of an enterprise computing.

“We’re incredibly excited to welcome Michael Wilson and Tony Jenkins – and Tony’s team — to loanDepot,” said Dominick Marchetti, chief technology officer at loanDepot. “We’ve found great people with great skills – and their ‘All In’ attitude and aptitude is reflective of our corporate culture.”
