Wells Fargo shakes up mortgage sales leadership team

Liz Bryant brings 25 years of mortgage experience to position

Wells Fargo Home Lending named Liz Bryant (pictured below) as head of the company’s retail sales organization, effective immediately.

Meanwhile, Wells Fargo also announced Greg Gwizdz, who had served as head of the company’s Home Mortgage retail sales organization, Drew Collins, former Pacific division sales manager, and Sandy Streator, most recently regional sales manager for Nevada and Oregon, are no longer with the company.

In her new position, Bryant will report to the head of mortgage production, Michael DeVito, and will be responsible for Wells Fargo Home Lending’s retail sales team, which originates residential mortgage loans in all 50 states through distributed and centralized channels powered by more than 7,900 home mortgage consultants.

Bryant brings 25 years of experience in mortgage originations and operations to the position and has been with Wells Fargo since 2003, most recently serving as head of home lending retail fulfillment operations.

Before taking that position, Bryant served for 10 years as Wells Fargo Home Lending senior vice president/division sales manager and was responsible for 2,700 home mortgage consultants in 16 western states.

Bryant joined the company in 2003 as a regional sales manager from GMAC Mortgage, where she was responsible for retail loan production and operations in 17 western states

“Liz’s broad experience in this business and her energetic leadership style make her an excellent choice to lead the nation’s largest mortgage origination sales force into the future,” said DeVito.

“Changing customer expectations and technical innovation are creating exciting opportunities in the mortgage business, and we recognized that new sales leadership is required as we continue to evolve our culture and deliver for our customers in compelling new ways,” he continued. The company will conduct an internal and external search for a new leader to replace Bryant as head of the fulfillment team.
