Within the last 12 months of Suzanne Powell’s career, she has made a major move to continue her track record of leading innovative solutions to the problems facing the mortgage origination and servicing industry. Previously at IBM, she led a team responsible for designing complex, process-based solutions for mortgage loan fulfillment, mortgage loan servicing, compliance and quality control and loss mitigation and default. In June 2017, she became the global leader of Conduent Mortgage Services.
Powell is leading the revitalization of the BlitzDocs platform, a digital imaging and processing application for the mortgage industry. With her vision for process automation, Powell has worked with enterprise-level clients to understand their needs, developed a roadmap to transform lender operations and secured the funding necessary to execute those plans. She is building solutions that Conduent says will not only change the mortgage industry, but transform the borrower experience across all lines of the financial services space.
Powell is a financial services executive with 26 years of domestic and international mortgage experience. She is responsible for leading Conduent’s mortgage services practice with a specific focus on the re-design and growth of the BlitzDocs platform across financial services. In the future, Powell will also lead the design and implementation of innovative business and technology solutions for the company’s Mortgage BPS.
Previously, Powell culminated a 10-year tenure at IBM as a partner in its financial service sector. Some of her accomplishments while at IBM include: leading the design, build and implementation of the IBM Watson Agent Assist platform for mortgage servicing; leading the solution design for a large-scale mortgage lending platform in a growth market; and creating a solution that enables real-time interaction between borrowers and lenders throughout the loan fulfillment process. These technologies have served global mortgage companies, including a top five mortgage originator.
Powell has also served in other senior leadership positions throughout the industry, including time spent in both technology development and business operations. She is an industry-leading subject matter expert in electronic document delivery, source of truth data, cognitive agent and virtual assistant and robotic process automation.
Powell is a member of several Conduent steering committees, each focused on digital capacities and bringing thought leadership toward the application of service, which will allow financial services providers to manage the collection and review of data and documents at an enterprise level. She has also received several awards for her outstanding leadership, is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and was the recipient of the IBM Gerstner Award for Client Excellence, IBM’s most prestigious internal award.
