Elizabeth Giddens, senior vice president, deputy general counsel and corporate secretary for Nationstar Mortgage Holdings and Mr. Cooper, is a powerhouse legal mind and a driving force for women in the workplace.
Giddens wears many hats and is key to Mr. Cooper’s day-to-day operations. Despite the busyness, Giddens makes it a point to carve out time to give back. She is responsible for the launch of the first-ever official Women’s Network at Mr. Cooper, and shows consistent commitment to the professional development of her team members.
Her philosophy of work is: “We shouldn’t do things the same old way just because it’s the way we’ve always done it,” and that is the mentality she instills in her team.
Recently, Giddens facilitated the merger agreement with WMIH Corp., Throughout her career, she has developed a profound expertise in SEC material, with which she reviews everything from stakeholder communications and public filings to investor material and company communications.
Giddens also holds leadership positions with the Association of Corporate Council, the Dallas Chapter of the Texas General Counsel Forum and the Dallas Chapter of the Society for Corporate Governance.
