Donavon Corliss, VP of talent acquisition for Mr. Cooper, to speak at engage.talent

Find out how to hire and retain top operations and fulfillment talent

Hiring top-performing loan officers gets a lot of press, but hiring and retaining great operations and fulfillment professionals is also crucial for a mortgage lender’s bottom line. After all, the efficiency and expertise of your back office affects everything from time to close to the cost to originate each loan.

That’s why we’re excited to feature Donavon Corliss, vice president of talent acquisition for Mr. Cooper, as a speaker at our engage.talent summit on Feb. 6. Corliss will lead the session on Attracting Top Operations/Fulfillment Talent, exploring how making excellent choices in back-office hiring will set up your business for long-term success.

In his role at Mr. Cooper, Corliss oversees all aspects of recruiting. Since joining the company in 2015, he has launched a variety of key programs and initiatives, including college recruiting, internal mobility, recruiter metrics and analytics, structured interview guides, social media campaigns and multiple applicant tracking systems. In fact, his work has led to a redesign of the ways in which Mr. Cooper sources and selects talent.

Corliss has more than 15 years of experience in management and has specific expertise in multiple areas of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, benefits and organizational development. Throughout his career, he’s led high-performing recruiting teams at companies within the financial services industry, including Fidelity Investments and American Home Mortgage.

When it comes to attracting, hiring and retaining the best people for the job in any aspect of the business, Corliss knows what he’s talking about – which makes him a great source of knowledge for this engage.talent panel.

He’s in good company, too! Other speakers include Tom Middleton of The Middleton Group, Phil Treadwell of Mason-McDuffie Mortgage and Anthony Casa of AIME discussing “The Battle for Talent.”

Engage.talent is coming up soon – register now so you don’t miss out on this great opportunity for learning and networking!
