PenFed Realty, a subsidiary of Pentagon Federal Credit Union, acquired real estate brokerage Prudential Carruthers Realtors, creating an expanded shop with more than 1,000 real estate professionals serving the Baltimore-Washington area. The merged brokerage will operate as Prudential PenFed Realty. Financial terms weren’t disclosed. PenFed, a credit union serving members of the U.S. military, provides real estate services in the nation’s capital, San Antonio and Fayetteville, N.C. “We are excited to be able to work with the best real estate talent in the business,” said James Schenck, executive vice president of PenFed. “The Carruthers have spent their entire professional careers in the real estate business recruiting and retaining the very finest real estate professionals,” he said. “We are glad to have the entire team join us as we leverage their knowledge and successes to deliver the very best real estate experience nationwide.” Write to Kerri Panchuk.
