I’m not sure why it’s just making news that Rick Santorum has a sketchy record on housing. I wrote a blog about his contradictory past with housing more than a month ago. But if you checked the liberal media, you’d think it was a completely new revelation.
For instance, Mother Jones published an article called “Rick Santorum’s Housing Hypocrisy” on Tuesday, which drew largely the same conclusions as my blog. I’ll give them credit for pointing out that Santorum got a cut-rate government backed mortgage back when he was a law student (perhaps through political connections), but the rest of the article was essentially a rehash of details I threw out there weeks ago.
Even his opponents are lagging. Ron Paul — the warrior for all things government free — didn’t even catch onto Santorum’s government-packed housing past until a couple of weeks ago. How big of an issue is housing in the GOP primary if no one is even talking about this?
It’s time to catch up, everyone.
