Zeus Living launches in New York

Company offers extended stays in expensive markets

A recent study from Redfin showed that homeowners are leaving pricey cities behind for more affordable metros, such as Phoenix, Sacramento, Atlanta and Las Vegas.

At the time, Redfin Chief Economist Daryl Fairweather said people were increasingly looking to leave expensive coastal metros like New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

As homebuyers are seemingly being priced out of coastal cities, one company is providing those areas with a solution geared toward professionals. Zeus Living launched in New York this week, its fifth U.S. market, offering furnished homes available for extended stays of 30 days or longer.

“Mobility has become synonymous with the modern workforce, yet housing options designed for work travel are impersonal, unresponsive and unnecessarily expensive,” said Zeus CEO and co-founder, Kulveer Taggar. “Zeus has spent the past four years creating a living experience that professionals want, with the depth of supply to support the housing needs of employers in top talent markets. We’re excited to name New York as our fifth city and offer our customers a better option in this global destination.”

Prior to launching in New York, the company already operated 1,600 homes in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. According to Zeus Living, the company aims to give professionals the freedom to live where their jobs take them without sacrificing the ease and comfort of home.

This most recent launch included a variety of homes in Manhattan, Hoboken and Jersey City.

“Zeus residents can choose the way they want to experience New York — whether in the heart of Midtown, a Zeus-managed suite at the W Hotel with panoramic views of the city, or the peace and quiet of a brownstone in tree-lined Hoboken,” the company stated in the announcement.

Homes are fully furnished and are outfitted with amenities such as WiFi, cookware and in-unit laundry. The company estimates that since 2015, over 27,000 residents have chosen to live with Zeus for a total of 600,000 nights.
