Zillow Offers launches in third California market

Los Angeles is next

Zillow has officially added Sacramento to the Zillow Offers expansion in California.

In addition to Riverside and San Diego, homeowners in Sacramento can now sell their home directly to Zillow as the real estate site continues to expand its iBuyer program.

Zillow Offers also recently expanded into San Antonio and Austin, Texas, and is now operating in all four major Texas markets.

Through the Zillow Offers program, if the home qualifies, the owner will receive an initial cash offer from Zillow within 48 hours.

If the homeowner accepts the offer, the seller gets to choose a date to move out, and not worry about cleaning or repairs. (For more on what, exactly, is an iBuyer, read this.)

In this case, a Sacramento-based agent will assist in the transaction.

“Selling a home is hard, and managing the work it takes to prepare it for sale and host showings or open houses can feel like a full-time job,” said Zillow Brand President Jeremy Wacksman. “With Zillow Offers, we do that work for you. We’re really excited to bring this service to the California state capital today and take the friction out of a stressful experience.”

Since its launch in Phoenix in 2018, Zillow Offers has expanded into 19 markets, with six more planned by 2020, including Los Angeles.

Consumers using Zillow Offers, whether they are selling to or buying from Zillow, can also get financing from Zillow’s owned affiliate lender, Zillow Home Loans, to get pre-approved and purchase their next home.
