Gene Slater is chairman of CSG Advisors, which has been the leading financial advisor in the country for affordable housing for each of the last 20 years, according to Securities Data. He helped design what became the U.S. Treasury’s New Issue Bond Program in 2009 which financed 110,000 first homebuyers and 40,000 rental units. He also served as financial advisor to the Resolution Trust Corporation on all its tax-exempt assets from failed savings and loans. Slater has served as advisor on more than $10 billion of housing financings. He serves as municipal advisor to the state housing finance agencies of Colorado, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, and New York State.
