MGIC is a mortgage insurance company that also offers underwriting, loan servicing and homebuyer education information and training materials. MGIC is the principal subsidiary of MGIC Investment Corporation, and maintains an initiative to “promote diverse, accessible and affordable homeownership,” the company says.

Originally founded in 1957, MGIC is based in Milwaukee, WI.
