HousingWire is recruiting proven Account Executives who are hunters, aren’t afraid to pitch big and can close deals.  We are looking for select individuals who are driven to succeed and value high expectations.  The ideal candidate will have a track record of new business development success, managing relationships, growing key client relationships and consistent over achievement of their sales targets. Relentless focus on helping clients win and delivering ROI with the right media plans and strategies.  

Our product mix includes digital advertising, newsletters, sponsored content, podcasts and events. Successful sales executives at HousingWire have an interest in digital media and understand the power of integrated media plans for B2B clients.

The Role

As an Account Executive, you will create and maximize revenue generation. You will foster and grow relationships with high-target prospects and valued clients while working in collaboration with your Account Manager and other internal teams.

  • Responsible for developing and growing key client relationships
  • Deliver effective, integrated sales proposals and move deals through the pipeline to a successful close
  • Prospect and aggressively seek new clientele by networking, cold calling, referrals or other means to build and maintain a full pipeline
  • Work closely with the Account Management team and other colleagues to ensure clients achieve and surpass advertising and marketing objectives
  • Be an ambassador for HousingWire by representing our organization with professionalism, expertise and confidence. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Aggressively hunt, identify and close new business
  • Identify client business needs by gaining a deep understanding of their goals, objectives as well as their target audience to proactively develop customized advertising recommendations
  • Maintain and grow strategic accounts
  • Build relationships with key decision makers within each account
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets

Experience and Skills

  • Must have 5+ years of successful sales experience in media and advertising 
  • A proven track record of goal attainment
  • Not afraid to pitch big and are able to create excitement and a sense of urgency to get deals done
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment, comfortable with change
  • Curiosity, are team oriented, self motivated, with excellent organizational and  time management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree

Compensation and Benefits

  • Estimated OTE $115,000 includes base + uncapped commission 
  • 401k, health and dental insurance, unlimited PTO, paid parental leave
