David Fulford has been a driving force behind mortgage industry business and technology transformation for the last 20 years, covering that change from every possible angle: the primary market during his time with Chase, the secondary market while at Freddie Mac, through vendor technology service offerings at Black Knight, and most recently at Gateless. His roles have spanned the build, delivery, and implementation / adoption of some of the most transformative industry capabilities, e.g., Freddie Mac’s Loan Advisor Suite and most recently the Gateless Smart Underwrite platform.
Fulford joined the Gateless leadership team three years ago, within the first eight months of the company’s inception. He played a critical role in the formation of the company’s organizational structure, product development, and customer implementation and support models. Over the past year, as Gateless went to market with both its flagship product, Smart Underwrite, and most recent offering, VeriClear, Fulford led the successful implementation and adoption of the Gateless products across several clients, including the largest client, Guaranteed Rate. Fulford also played a major role in all company sales activities at Gateless.
Gateless would not have achieved the early success and industry-wide recognition if not for the efforts of Fulford. This success is rooted in not only the unparalleled care with which he manages our clients, but is also a function of the client insights he is able to extract and cycle into the continuous improvement of the Gateless products.
