Prior to SVP of Valuation Solutions Virgil Watson joining Class Valuation, the company did not have a suite of alternative valuation solutions. In less than three years, Watson built out a suite of six products, plus variations, that have resulted in thousands of additional orders per month. His role grows increasingly important as home equity solutions, such as AVMs and property condition reports, rise in popularity due to the state of the housing market.
Watson is solely responsible for launching Class Valuation’s iCollateral series, a suite of alternative products designed to fit any client’s need. This includes Class’ iAVM, iAVM+PCR, iEval, and more. He continues to innovate within alternative products, most recently creating iHomeValuator, Class’ analyst-assisted AVM. iHomeValuator pairs Class’ iAVM with a trained analyst in situations with more complex properties or the need for quality data verification. When Watson initially launched the product, he was the lone analyst, not only running his team and suite of alternative products, but single-handedly handling all iHomeValuator orders. That’s just one example of Watson’s contribution and humble, hands-on approach.
Watson started in the industry 35 years ago as an appraiser before eventually developing alternative appraisal products. He leads his team with humility and doesn’t view any task as beneath him. He is the epitome of what the Insider Award stands for. As he quietly innovates, he drives thousands of new orders to Class Valuation. The company anticipates further growth in this area, as alternative products aid in home equity transactions and more.
