What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
A mentor told me, “Your professional career is a marathon, not a sprint,” and to take on different roles throughout my career, even if some didn’t make sense at the time for advancement. When asked for career advice, I say look at new roles with curiosity and with an eagerness to learn something new. My career has taken me all over the world, across different organizations, and it’s the diverse and sometimes difficult experiences that have shaped it. Just as you run a marathon, build durability in your career for a steady and sustainable pace, leveraging learning and experiences along the way.
