Chris Anderson, MCT’s chief administrative officer (CAO), began his role with MCT’s Lock Desk, improving the division’s profitability and implementing strategic changes to better serve clients. He used this experience to transform MCT’s Data Integrations, IT, Data Security, and Product & Pricing divisions. His collaboration with clients, MCT partners, and compliance regulators has earned him respect throughout the industry and helped pave the way for new tools like MCT’s Base Rate Generator.

Anderson has established himself as an industry-recognized expert across multiple mortgage disciplines. Tackling MCT’s outsourced Lock Desk division and growing it to the largest provider in the U.S., he became a subject matter expert on rate lock workflow, LOS/PPE config and lock desk policy best practices.

He leveraged his exposure to the industry’s loan origination systems through the Lock Desk to establish MCT’s data integration services team, and built hedge pipeline data integrations with 13 commercially available loan origination systems and dozens of proprietary systems, data warehouse and data lakes, while overseeing the development of robust customizable data writeback tools. Having overseen hundreds of client integrations, he is recognized as an expert in mortgage tech integrations and is often tapped by the LOS community for input on enhancing or developing their secondary user experience.

In addition to overseeing various operations teams, as CAO, Anderson is responsible for handling MCT’s compliance efforts, and as data security became more and more important, his direct involvement with data integrations as well as overseeing MCT’s IT Team gave him hands-on experience to develop and oversee practical policies and procedures at MCT to ensure its clients’ data is always protected.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

If you are going to do a job, whether it’s creating a strategic plan or emptying a garbage can, do it to the best of your ability. Never treat any job like it is beneath you.
