Jason Waugh brings three decades of multifaceted real estate experience to one of the nation’s largest real estate brands. Since joining in October 2023, he has leveraged his expertise to drive the future of the Coldwell Banker brand through his focus on the acceleration of franchise sales and enhanced service to affiliates, including harnessing innovative products and technology domestically and globally. Waugh has proven himself to be a valuable guide to consumers navigating the real estate market, the Coldwell Banker network, and to other leaders in the real estate industry.
Waugh has fostered relationships with the Coldwell Banker network through his various internal speaking engagements and initiatives. Waugh started the Agents Helping Agents series, a quarterly virtual event where he engages in conversations with highly productive sales professionals who are successfully navigating change, leveraging their expertise to guide others. He recently led the 2024 Coldwell Banker Leadership Summit, an exclusive event for Coldwell Banker leaders and management. At the summit, Waugh spoke about the move from volatility and uncertainty to opportunity, shared a 2024 industry outlook and the importance of mindset. He also frequently holds panel discussions for the Coldwell Banker affiliate network, discussing best practices and strategies on relevant topics in the industry.
An active leader of the CB Supports St. Jude program, a partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Waugh helped the brand surpass its goals for the fourth year in a row, donating more than $1.6 million to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital since the program’s inception in 2020. Participating agents can make a donation to St. Jude for every home sale or purchase they complete. The program provides agents with resources and marketing materials to educate consumers on the cause and to help make listings more enticing. Waugh is involved with the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) and will be a spokesperson at their national convention.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Over 10 years ago, I attended John Maxwell’s Leadership Conference in Orlando and his words, “Change is inevitable, growth is optional,” have stuck with me to this day. We have a clear choice — to grow or to go — and our commitment at Coldwell Banker is to embrace growth. When presenting at the company’s 2024 Leadership Summit, I encouraged leadership and management in attendance to stay committed to embracing change by focusing on their internal “M.A.P.” — mindset, attitude and perspective. I am a firm believer in focusing on what is controllable and letting go of what is not in order to set forward on a path of continued growth and success.
