During his 30-year mortgage lending career, Jeff Flory has held positions on the lender and service provider sides of the industry, giving him a time-tested perspective on the lending community. For the past decade, he has focused on leading fraud risk and compliance initiatives, currently serving as chief executive officer of QC Ally and Inglet Blair, a QC Ally company, where he champions client partners to help them achieve enterprise loan quality. Flory is a well-known industry advocate, promoting the value of homeownership and working toward reducing barriers for the greatest number of people.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

I was blessed when I started my career to have a leader who encouraged me to deliberately carve out time when traveling for work to see the city I was in. He told me that I’m taking time away from my family to act on behalf of the business, so that travel shouldn’t be all about airplanes, meetings, dinner, hotel, airplane, lather, rinse and repeat.
