As president of Affiliate Strategy at Christie’s International Real Estate, Kevin Van Eck spearheads the development and execution of strategic initiatives to propel the growth and success of owned brokerages and independently owned global network affiliates of the brand. His focus encompasses network growth, technology, marketing, performance management and the development of valuable B2B partnerships and integrations.
In the past 12 months, Van Eck has played a key role in the rapid expansion of the company’s network in the Americas, helping to sign and onboard several new Affiliate brokerages across the U.S. and in the Caribbean. He has also supported major expansions of existing Affiliates in the Hamptons, Fort Worth, Austin, Idaho, San Francisco, Marin County, and Eastern and Northern Michigan.
Van Eck works directly with Christie’s International Real Estate Affiliates to drive growth through recruitment strategies, coaching and training initiatives, and proprietary technology infrastructure that increases agent efficiency and productivity. Through his efforts, numerous Christie’s International Real Estate affiliate brokerages have exponentially grown agent headcount and sales volume. In the past 12 months, affiliates in key markets, like Southern California, Florida, Austin and New York City, have collectively gained hundreds of agents and over $2 billion in sales volume.
Under Van Eck‘s supervision, the company has also developed and implemented several new technologies on pl@tform, including the Digital Buyer Presentation, a multimedia presentation that helps the agents articulate their services, and Closing Milestones, a consumer-facing portal that gives buyers and sellers the ability to track their home purchase from contract to close.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
There are a lot of competing options for the best advice I’ve received, but one that stands out and I carry with me comes from a drill sergeant at Fort Sill, OK, SSG Danko. In his booming voice, he would say “It would behoove you to listen, then take action.”
