Laura O’Connor’s leadership style is focused on three key areas: collaboration, empowerment and agility. She is known to collaborate with other leaders across a wide variety of brands and organizations in an effort to connect and elevate the industry as a whole. In 2024, she was promoted to a global COO role at JPAR in recognition for her ability to pivot and navigate the rapidly evolving market. O’Connor has continued her commitment to ensuring that leaders at JPAR mirror the communities served with over 50% of owners in JPAR’s affiliated network and over 75% of the agent leaders in the Texas Brokerage division coming from groups that are traditionally underrepresented in leadership roles.

With over 20 years in the real estate industry, it is hard to find an area where she hasn’t previously held a role and responsibility related to residential real estate — from administration to owning her own brokerage, building a prop tech startup to owning her own consulting company and now as a C-suite executive at a growing brand. In the past six months, O’Connor has been promoted to a global role overseeing operations, marketing, technology and support services for both the franchise and brokerage business units at JPAR in her global chief operating officer role while maintaining her president position overseeing all aspects of the Affiliated Network of owners which, under her direction, has grown to 30 states (up from 20 at the start of 2023). 

O’Connor has been involved with Rotary, a national service organization, for the past 10 years and recently spent a year as the state coordinator for Braver Angels, a group focused on efforts to depolarize America. Her next efforts in volunteerism are focused on housing efforts.
