Ardley Technologies CEO Nate Den Herder is on a mission to improve servicing. And he’s doing just that, via Ardley’s technologies. Herder’s positive impact improves conditions for the servicer, the lender and the borrower.
Herder founded Ardley in 2019. In 2023, Ardley’s technology platform was used to structure over 6 million deals. He is directly responsible for introducing the only technology that allows servicers to transition from reactive portfolio management to proactive portfolio optimization. With Ardley, servicers can reduce attrition, improve borrower retention, and reduce costs to acquire servicing rights on a new origination.
By founding Ardley and launching Ardley’s Actionable Data Intelligence (ADI) platform, Herder personally introduced servicers to the ability to take control over their servicing portfolios. Prior to Ardley, servicers were relegated to reactive portfolio management. They had little to no control over attrition, borrower retention, or borrower experience. Today, they can drastically slow down or stop attrition, exponentially increase borrower retention, and develop positive partnership-based relationships with their customers.
Under Herder’s direction, Ardley has brought to market technologies that have been used to collectively structure over 100 million loan offers for nearly 2 million unique users, for a total of over $1 billion in potential origination volume for Ardley’s clients.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Yes, you should marry that girl.” That piece of advice came from my father, about my now-wife. Years later, I’m still grateful for the insight.
