This expansion is reflected in the company’s rebrand from Notarize to Proof completed earlier this year. Kinsel transformed how the real estate industry — title companies in particular — fights seller impersonation fraud, using cutting-edge identity verification and AI-powered fraud detection solutions. His creative vision for delivering new products, dogged determination to eliminate fraud in the real estate industry, and relentless pursuit of business partnerships have allowed Proof to make an enormous impact on protecting the real estate industry.
Kinsel has expanded Proof’s impact on the housing industry by attacking one of the most insidious challenges it faces: fraud. Real estate transactions are particularly susceptible to fraud due to the number of parties, the amount of money changing hands, and the amount of paperwork and steps required throughout the transaction. In the last year alone, Proof introduced several products that allow real estate companies to fight fraud and trust every transaction. Proof’s Notarize has secured more than $185 billion in real estate closings.
Kinsel is deeply involved in the startup and business community, working with other leaders and companies to help them reach their goals. He is a venture partner at Polaris Partners, where he specializes in building and investing in innovative SaaS platforms. Kinsel serves on multiple boards and is a mentor in the Boston tech community.
