Philip A. White, Jr. is president and chief executive officer of Sotheby’s International Realty, overseeing the company’s affiliate network and company-owned brokerages with more than 26,400 affiliated independent sales associates located in over 1,100 offices in 83 countries and territories worldwide.

Prior to his July 2004 appointment to CEO, White spent 12 years with NRT LLC, the nation’s largest residential real estate brokerage company, leading one of the company’s most productive offices. In 2021, White was also appointed chairman of Sotheby’s Concierge Auctions, the leading global luxury real estate auction marketplace, as part of a joint venture with Sotheby’s auction house and Anywhere, the largest full-service residential real estate services company in the United States.

In 2023, the Sotheby’s International Realty brand launched five new companies internationally, six companies domestically, and opened 77 new offices around the world, increasing the brand’s total agent count year over year.

Last year, the brand also expanded its international presence to include new companies in Saudi Arabia, Argentina and Turkey. So far, in 2024, the brand has launched international offices in Anguilla and Poland and expanded its presence in California and Michigan.

In 2024, for another consecutive year, Sotheby’s International Realty was the most represented real estate brand on the 2024 RealTrends’ Verified + The Thousand Individuals by Sales Volume list. Once again, Sotheby’s International Realty agents represented the majority of the Individuals by Sales Volume category, proving that more luxury agents continue choosing to affiliate with the brand than any other competitor. Several teams affiliated with Sotheby’s International Realty were also recognized on the Top Teams by Sales Volume list for 2024.
