After Tessar was unexpectedly terminated in January 2023 from his role as president of CIVIC Financial Services downstream to the regional banking crisis that impacted CIVIC’s parent company, the uncertainty was palpable for the team he left behind. Undaunted, Tessar’s leadership and dedication transformed a period of turbulence and uncertainty for the team into a triumph of perseverance and unity. CV3 launched on August 31, 2023, with 154 loyal employees by his side, and has emerged from startup to frontrunner, currently funding over $100 million monthly and will surpass $1 billion in Q3 2024.
His unparalleled leadership and vision have been instrumental in redefining what a private lender could and should be. He rallied his core team, working tirelessly to bring the vision of CV3 to life. With a target launch date of August 31, 2023, the team worked without pay, driven by a shared commitment to build something extraordinary. Tessar’s track record of closing over $10 billion and 21,000 business purpose loans provided the foundation to secure initial capital. Once funded, the infrastructure was swiftly put in place, including a loan origination system, operational processes, and critical systems across sales, marketing, finance and HR.

What is one habit you swear by?
The “Preview / Review” approach. Each morning, I start my day by writing down what I need and want to accomplish. This sharpens my focus and sets clear priorities, ensuring that I tackle critical tasks first and make the most of my time every day.
