Erica Vigen is the voice for automated valuation model (AVM) adoption within the industry. By developing reliable and understandable measures of confidence, she is enabling AVM adoption by demystifying the statistics that have, to date, made AVM adoption and use so complex.
As Senior Product Manager, Real Estate Analytics at Clear Capital, the national real estate valuation technology company, Vigen is the product leader for analytics products, including AVMs, price trend models and photo intelligence products. In addition to building and optimizing property analytics products, she is passionate about their equitable use and was recently appointed as chair of the AVM Forum within MISMO. In this role, she focuses on building consensus to create standards for AVM use in credit decisions, which is particularly important with the new AVM regulations from the CFPB.
Prior to Clear Capital, Vigen worked on a variety of products for a home financing company, including product development of a debt alternative to accessing home equity and a down payment assistance program. She also founded and chaired the Environmental Social Governance (ESG) committee and authored reports for 2019-2022. Additionally, in that role, Vigen worked as the product manager for internal tools, which evaluated income —including the use of optical character recognition (OCR) for automated income underwriting — and assessed collateral risk and valuation. Other projects included revamping the consumer application and POS for accessibility and efficiency, and designing a customer education program to ensure homeowners understood the financial asset they were agreeing to.
