Kim Hoffman, CMB, AMP is a powerhouse in the mortgage industry, having managed the mortgage operations in major leadership positions during her 35-year career at big-time companies like Morgan Stanley, Envoy Mortgage and Sofi Bank. But this year she made a massive pivot by joining Mortgage Connect as president of Mortgage Connect Risk Solutions, a third-party due diligence firm formerly known as Adfitech. Hoffman is known for her expertise in mortgage loan fulfillment, quality control and credit and risk management — knowledge she will leverage in her new role as she works to refine Mortgage Connect’s core offerings in the due diligence sector.

Hoffman is a widely known and well-respected figure in the mortgage industry, having led operations at several large institutions and spoken on panels at countless industry events over the years, racking up numerous awards and accolades in the process. But never one to shy away from a challenge, her success has not made her complacent, but instead inspired her to set new goals and apply her skills in a new capacity in the hopes of making an even greater impact on the mortgage lending space.

Hoffman made the leap to Mortgage Connect, taking the reins of its newly acquired due diligence firm that has served the industry for 40 years and overseeing its rebrand as the Risk Solutions branch of Mortgage Connect. Under Hoffman’s leadership, the company offers critical risk management services to more than 500 clients, including six of the top 10 mortgage lenders, several high-profile Wall Street firms and numerous banks and independent mortgage companies.

As a woman who has worked hard to make her stamp on the mortgage world, Hoffman is acutely aware of the challenges facing women in this industry who wish to climb the ranks, and she considers it a personal mission to mentor others in the space who want to advance their careers in lending.
