Luba Kim-Reynolds

Luba Kim-Reynolds leads the Multifamily Capital Markets Investor Relations & Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Initiatives Team, which markets Freddie Mac’s multifamily securities platform and credit risk transfer products. She has a passion for meeting Freddie Mac’s mission of addressing affordable housing challenges because she knows just how important an affordable place to call home can be. She emigrated to the U.S. in her early twenties, worked hard to save for college and built her career in multifamily finance from the ground up.

Kim-Reynolds’s leadership includes overseeing Freddie Mac’s multifamily impact bonds strategy and multifamily ESG activities, resulting in the issuance of over $20 billion in green, social and sustainability bonds since the program’s creation in 2019. She is a recognized leader in the capital markets and ESG industries and a public spokesperson for the company, regularly trusted to represent its views on advisory boards and at public events.

Kim-Reynolds leads the investor relations team, which interfaces directly with the primary market for Freddie Mac Multifamily’s bonds, including more than 500 different investors. The platform is the largest in the multifamily industry, having settled $682 billion in multifamily securities since the inception of the program in 2009. In 2023 alone, Freddie Mac Multifamily settled $33.3 billion in K-Deals, the company’s signature offering, and continued to increase its Multi PC issuances to $15.1 billion in 2023. In 2023, the company adapted to meet current market demands with structures such as the 5-year K-Deal, innovating offerings to support the market and expand access to affordable and equitable rental housing for Americans across the country.
