Throughout Lynn Tarantino’s career, she has built and sustained high-performing teams and assisted in the development of leaders, many of whom have moved onto other organizations to lead their own teams. Tarantino believes strongly in paying it forward and has had several great mentors during her career who have told her to always make decisions based on the organization first, then the team then yourself. Tarantino has lived by these words and been successful in executing through challenging times.
When she became chief compliance officer at Cenlar it was a goal Tarantino had set for herself at the beginning of her career that she was able to achieve. When the company needed someone to build and lead the first line of defense for controls, she believed with the skill sets and leadership knowledge she had obtained over her career, that this provided her with the qualifications to take on this new challenge and help the organization be successful. Tarantino successfully navigated finding leaders, strategically set organizational structures and effectively built or enhanced programs that were needed for key first line of defense functions such as issues management, business risk and controls, enterprise change management and quality control.
Outside of her work at Cenlar, Tarantino is a volunteer on the American Bankers Association Risk and Compliance Conference Advisory Board for eight years, a conference that brings industry experts together to discuss emerging and key risk and compliance issues within the industry.
