Through a hands-on approach to leadership and unwavering dedication to her customers, loanDepot VP of Regional Production Mary Bane has built the company’s largest in-market retail region from the ground up. Bane’s inclusive approach also features her dedication to supporting and fostering growth for women in the industry through mentorship and professional development.
Bane, who started as a top producing loan officer, has built her in-market retail region in the Midwest from the ground up by taking a proactive leadership approach to create a work environment that empowers her team to thrive. Bane supports her team by offering regular coaching and mentoring, always making herself available to work through challenges, provide advice and go the extra mile for team loanDepot and the company’s customers.
In her recruiting efforts, Bane recognizes the importance of representation in the industry and actively recruits diverse candidates. As part of her efforts, she personally reaches out to newly hired women in her region, sharing her own career path and experiences, to inspire and support them as they build their own careers. She also organizes regular women’s luncheons for her team, providing an opportunity for women to come together, network and discuss their unique experiences and best practices — sharing strategies to balance their professional and personal lives.
Beyond her professional commitments, Bane is deeply passionate about her community, particularly around supporting those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She actively supports Mount. St. Joseph’s School for Women, a non-profit intermediate care facility, where she has a personal connection through her sister who attends. Additionally, she raises money and awareness for the National Brain Tumor Society and regularly volunteers for One Tail at a Time, a Chicago-based no-kill rescue organization that facilitates pet adoptions.
