Melissa Harbourne has been an unsung hero at CMG Financial for the past seven years. She was recently promoted to chief of staff after serving as the head of human resources and in addition to being an advisor to organizational integration of the several acquisitions CMG has had she is handling everything from employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, systems management and compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and best practices. Over the past year specifically, Harbourne has been an integral part in the preparation, planning and execution of several acquisitions, seamlessly incorporating over 1,300 new loan officers, operations specialists, marketing experts and sales employees from other companies.

Over the past few months, Harbourne has ascended within the organization and broadened her scope of coverage taking on responsibilities beyond the HR department and moving into the chief of staff role. Harbourne’s experience with CMG’s operations across a multitude of areas spans the seven years she has been with the company. Her strength lies in her ability to navigate complex situations, solve problems and streamline processes. Her role is pivotal in enhancing communication and operational efficiency across the company and is crucial for fostering unity and progress within the organization.

Harbourne proudly serves on the Board of Directors — Cancer Support Community San Francisco Bay Area. Both in the community and in the company, Harbourne is a leader and inspiration through and through.
