Shacara Delgado is senior vice president, employment law and chief ethics and compliance officer at Anywhere. She leads the company’s global ethics & compliance program as well as enterprise employment, benefits and contractor relations legal matters relating to all the company’s employees and independently affiliated real estate agents. In a challenging time for the industry, Delgado ensures that Anywhere is committed to high standards of integrity in order to earn the trust of affiliated agents, franchise owners, consumers and one another.
Delgado leads Anywhere with honesty, transparency and authenticity. She manages teams focused on identifying, preventing and mitigating company legal and compliance risks. She advises executive and senior leadership on all aspects of legal employment, compliance, compensation and benefits matters. She also serves as the company’s HIPAA privacy officer and as secretary of the employment benefits committee.
She is directly involved in the creation and implementation of the Anywhere code of ethics to ensure anyone associated with Anywhere is empowered to work with uncompromising standards of excellence, ethics and accountability even in the ever-changing nature of the real estate industry and the business world at large.
Delgado previously served on the Board of Executive Women of New Jersey as its governance committee chair, as a trustee for Tri-County Scholarship Fund, was recognized by Executive Women of New Jersey’s as one of New Jersey’s most accomplished women leaders in business, government and academia. She has also been named among the Top Influential Women in Corporate America by Savoy magazine, received the distinguished Woman of Achievement award from Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey and was named among the list of 25 Influential Black Women in Business by The Network Journal magazine. She is a member of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association of New Jersey, an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated (an international public service organization) and serves as a lead teen advisor for Jack and Jill of America in the Morris County chapter.
